Besides not shifting into third at vehicle speeds in excess of 40-45 mph, when at that speed, the transmission disengages and the engine races if I remove my foot from the accelerator pedal and re-accelerate. Then, as the vehicle sepeed drops to ~40 mph, the transmission reengages in second gear. Last night I added about 1.5 pints of Dexron transmission fluid to the transmission, but that hasn't changed performance any. I shudder to think of having the transmission overhauled and hope that some adjustment may correct the problem. Any help, suggestions, etc. are appreciated. MEL ihuxn!tfilm 850220.0830
