  Does someone have, or know of, statistics on the uncertainty
associated with the size of bands in gel electrophoresis?  In
particular, I am trying to construct a formula that can yield 
the error in the molecular weight of DNA fragments resolved with gel
electrophoresis, as a function of their size and/or other relevant
parameters.

  If you have such a formula, (or have seen something along these lines
in the literature), or if you know of information I could use to derive
one, I would be eternally thankful for the information.
