Here at Western Union we once tried to install an auto-dial telephone
connection between our Atlanta office and a rural customer.  It didn't work.
To find out why, we monitored an outgoing call.  The computer dialed.  The
telephone rang.  An operator answered and said, "What number y'all callin'
from?"  Obviously, auto-dialing was right out.

For anarchy it's hard to beat 1600 local telephone companies.  Network?
What network?
