I think that the statistical model of discrimination can be used here.
The ambidextrous nature of very early tools seems to indicate that
us lefties were at one time nearly equal in numbers to the hated righties,
but were systematically wiped out by them. ;-)
BTW while in the army I always hated getting a face full of hot brass;
that's why I preferred to carry either an M79 granade launcher (a 40mm
sawed off shotgun) or a  50 Cal. MG (it ejects from the bottom and can
be converted from right to left charging handle). also ;-)

I just noticed that in my replying I inadvertantly used a loaded word
against us southpaws - ambidextrous from the latin dexter or right
as opposed to sinister or left.
