The "postal" (i.e. Snail Mail) Diplomacy hobby has Boardman numbers (named after John Boardman, one of the founders of the postal hobby). There is a Boardman number custodian to whom GM's write to get numbers. The custodian just assigns sequential numbers to games (i.e. 1985A was the first game this year). Can we do something like that here? I've been out of the postal hobby for the past few years -- anybody out there know who the current BNC is? Perhaps we could synchronize? -- The opinions expressed herein do not necessarily reflect the views of the Public Health Research Institute. {decvax,ihnp4}!vax135!timeinc\ >!phri!roy (Roy Smith) {allegra,rocky2}!cubsvax/
