Here's my strange situation:

I was cruising along in the 23 level of the dungeon when I started 
running out of food.  My strength was 18/**, which I presumed meant
max strength (18/00).  When I became weak, my strength dropped to a
-124. Huh? I couldn't believe this.  I tried a potion of restore strength,
but that only brought it to -122.  After fainting a few times, an Umber
Hulk walked up and kicked the sh*t out of me.  Any ideas?
