Telling about these little points might be contrary to the "philosophy" of rogue, but I think winning electronic games might as well be a skill learned through SPOILERs such as this one. 1) Maniacal laughter is a scary thing. I would be scared if I heard it, but the monsters who hear it get scared for real. 3) usually they kill you. They drain permanent strength on good hits. -John
