 On older versions of rogue (like 5.2) if you merely drop a scare
 monster scroll and don't move off of it, you will be standing on it.
 This is the only way since the move command does not work. Of course if
 you don't have a scare monster scroll, well your up s**t creek without
 a two handed sword.
