Nielson Comp. Sci. Dept. Arizona State Univ. TOPIC: A Rectangular nu -Spline for Interactive Surface Design ABSTRACT: A new type of surface for interactive design is presented. The mathematical presentation of this surface is based upon a rectangular network of nu-splines. Tension can be applied interactively at a single control point or along and across a curve of the network. Computational algorithms are discussed and some examples are presented.
