I thinkWA4YCM might find it fruitful to contact Jim, Jim is the head of the Navy Marine Corps MARS Hi Tech program, and the local VHF MARS network in Birmingham is packet. This is used as a gateway switch for the long haul MARS traffic that uses Birmingham as a hub. Lyle
