Experience: The candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in Unix internals and design/implementation of software written in C running on the Unix operating system. Additional experience with Prolog, Modula-2, database, and/or networking will weigh heavily in the candidates favor. Duties: To assist in research/development of an NSF sponsored data oriented network system and manage the laboratory facilities of the Computer Science Department. The system will initially run on a supermini class machine, and eventually on a Ethernet based network of workstations. The successful candidate will be expected to manage a group of 6-9 programmers, and to participate with faculty members in the design and implementation of the system. Requirements: 1. MS or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mathematics. 2. Minimum 3 years experience in Unix internals or Unix related software development. 3.
