The right way of handling this would be to elaborate the Multi-Media and Script concepts, work that is currently going on (e.g. in IFIP). The X.400 way may also work. It may look cumbersome but it should be remembered that the user interface is completely left out from the recommendation, leaving it up to all and everyone to tackle the User-Presentation problem as he wishes. - Tommy
