When I then used "-q *.*" in NULU 1.1 to extract and unsqueeze all of the files, I was left with a directory full of lower-case file names! One could perhaps argue that the UNIX version of SQ shouldn't store the file names in lower case, but I disagree, since they might be destined for another UNIX system.
