Votrax has two models that hook up to your PC via RS-232.
They are the TYPE-N-TALK and the Personal Speech System.
While both use the SC-01a chip which doesn't sound THAT
good but it is understandable (most of the time) and has
a text-to-speech algorithm built in.   Contact Votrax
for further info (they also have an 800 number with one
of their machines hooked to it for a demonstration).
