David Niven was one of the principals in "The Pink Panther", which was made some time in the early 1960's. Peter Sellers played Clouseau in this movie. It is interesting to note that the later films associated the name "Pink Panther" with Clouseau himself, when it really was the title for the famous diamond which was stolen in "The Pink Panther" and "The Return of the Pink Panther," as well as a nickname for the famous jewel thief. Also, I am surprised that the movie "A Shot in the Dark" gets comparatively little attention from the newsgroup; it is a hilarious 1965 film which followed the further adventures of Jacques Clouseau and which again starred Sellers in the lead role. As far as I know, the only people to play Clouseau were Sellers and Alan Arkin ("Inspector Clouseau"). Jim Campbell
