It seems to be the rule here (Maine, and in general the New England region) I don't understand how they can afford it and what the need for a system that could carry a small stadium is. As a result of this available power many of these bands tend to be a bit loud, not that they aren't good, just too loud. When I got out of being an active muscian last year our band had nearly $10K invested and it was woefully inadequate when compared with what the competition was dragging around.
