I, too, am studying for a career in music -- as an opera singer.  I'm
a mezzo-soprano and have been studying voice on a serious basis for
2 1/2 years (although I've sung since I was a kid).  I'm currently
giving recitals and am preparing for a concert with the Denver Opera
Company.  Auditions, etc. in the next few years will hopefully get me
where I want to go.  It is certainly a lot of hard work, but the pay
off is definitely worth it!  

Any other burgeoning singers out there?
