In the Computer Music Journal Volume 8,
Number 2, page 19 it is  mentioned
that Paul Dworak(North Texas State 
University) and Jane Clendinning(Yale
University) presented a paper on the
development and operation of a low-cost
pitch-dectector algorithm. If anyone
can provide any information on this
please reply by mail and I will post
to the net if others are  interested.
