I'm gonna create net.sources.d Message-ID: <12035@gatech.UUCP> Date: Fri, 15-Feb-85 11:35:21 EST Article-I.D.: gatech.12035 Posted: Fri Feb 15 11:35:21 1985 Date-Received: Sat, 16-Feb-85 08:44:02 EST References: <764@ukma.UUCP> Distribution: net Organization: The Clouds Project, School of ICS, Georgia Tech Lines: 17 The idea for a net.sources.d has been discussed before, and turned down. We have a net.sources.bugs for discussion of problems with posted sources, and a net.wanted.source for people wanting repostings. What other kind of discussion can you think of which would generate enough traffic to warrant its own newsgroup? Furthermore, the general feeling has been that no group should be created as a subgroup of net.sources unless it contains information that should be archived forever at sites that archive net.sources. Therefore, net.sources.d is probably not a good name. For what do you think such a group is needed? -- Gene "6 months and counting" Spafford The Clouds Project, School of ICS, Georgia Tech, Atlanta GA 30332 CSNet: Spaf @ GATech ARPA: Spaf%GATech.CSNet @ CSNet-Relay.ARPA uucp: ...!{akgua,allegra,hplabs,ihnp4,linus,seismo,ulysses}!gatech!spaf
