Summary: 


There already is a group for discussing user-contributed software --
it's called "net.usoft", and gets virtually NO traffic right now.  Seems
to me it would be easy to put "Followup-to: net.usoft" on all sources
postings, thus keeping discussions of the features of various posted
software off net.sources.
