I am trying to interface a Diablo 630 ECS printer to our
machine with the 4.2BSD line printer spooler.  Before I
re-invent the wheel, has anyone out there done this
before?  I am particularly interested in an output filter
that can listen for the "remote diagnostics" that the
printer sends when it has a problem.

Note: for the purposes of this filter, the models
      ECS and the API are the same.
