	     For all of you who advocate US military intervention in Central or
	South America, here's something to think about.

	Q.   By treaty and convention, the highest-ranking military officer
	in charge of all UN forces is from what nation?


	a.  The U.S.

	b.  Western Europe

	c.  A neutral

	d.  "The Third World"

	e.  None of the above.



	     If you selected E, you're right.  The highest-ranking military 
	officer is from the Soviet Union.  Every single Order of Battle for
	every UN military operation funnels through him, usually in advance of
	the operation.  

	     And the U.N. is supposed to be a Peacekeeping force?
