Vivitar service in Santa Monica fixed this under the warranty after a two week wait, but when I got it back, half of the screws inside were loose. Makes you feel secure, you know what I mean? Also, I got the following advice: the oil tends seep out when the lens is exposed to warm temperatures, so try to keep it cool. Great, and what do I do when I go to Joshua Tree Monument and want to snap a few? I must admit, though, that the issue hasn't come up (or seeped out) again. --Darryl Richman, INTERACTIVE Systems Inc. ...!cca!ima!ism780!darryl The views expressed above are my opinions only.
