Lines: 18 I have been skiing in Italy and France, so I can comment only on these countries. Italy is really inexpensive, buy italian ski equipment there. The facilities, snow and lift maintainance are fairly poor, but because of the price they are a bargain (I have no figures). France is great, my favourite resort(s), are Tignes, Tignes-le-lac and Val d'Isere (home of La Daille). These three resorts have interconnected lifts which are all on one ski pass. One hundred and forty lifts in all. When I lived in England, I skied on a tight budget. I could never afford Switzerland. Try it and tell us about it. Kev.
