Mr. Arndt is a well-known poster to net.religion and several other
newsgroups.  The original, much longer posting originally appeared
in net.religion.  Those of you familiar with Mr. Arndt's work else-
where will therefore understand that this individual--unlike Charlie
Wingate, who also was flamed for an allegedly anti-semitic remark--
is extremely vicious in all his dealings, and cannot be excused for
well-meant ignorance.  I think it is safe to rephrase Mr. Arndt's
question to read "Why don't we call anti-Semitism by its name?" and
answer it affirmatively in this case.
