Well, I thought it must be some promotional contest (collect all 50 states). Then, I had a bottle of Faygo** soda, and lo and behold, on the bottle cap, an imprint of the state of West Virginia with the number 1 in it!!! Well, I've checked over all the numerous bottles and cans of soda I drink, and all that have the imprint have West Virginia.... So, what is this? Is the state of West Virginia launching a promotional campaign on the tops of soda cans and bottles? And why on these two brands? Has Faygo** become a subsidiary of Shasta without telling anyone? *Shasta is probably a trademark of the Shasta Corp. Hayward Ca. **Faygo is probably a trademark of Faygo Beverages, Detroit Mi. -- Laurie Sefton {harpo,ihnp4,allegra,decvax}!pur-ee!pucc-h!afo {decwrl}purdue!pur-ee!pucc-h!afo Unfortunately, my magicks have very little use in an industrialised society....
