"Battle Beyond the Stars" was a remake of "The Magnificent Seven", which was a remake of Kurosawa's "Seven Samurai" (which, incidentally, I nominate for a permanent position in the 5 best films ever made). ("Seven Samurai", for pete's sake, not any of the others!)
