while we are on the subject, I am wondering if anyone has given
thought to the following problem:

    Tree of life root will kill you if you are too old.  What if you
    start taking the youth-preserving drugs SOON enough?  You are now
    over 100, physically aged 26, and you find some tree of life
    root.  (Or rather, it finds you!)  What happens?
