Not necessarily PLAN their relationships--but it can have an affect. From 1981 to 1983 I had a long-distance relationship with a woman who lives in North Carolina. One reason we broke up (not the ONLY reason, but one of the reasons) was that she didn't want to move to the D.C. area and I didn't want to move to N.C. One reason (again, not the ONLY reason, but one of the reasons) she doesn't like D.C. is that anyone living here will undoubtedly be creamed if we ever have a nuclear war.
