Here are a few questions to consider. Please don't send me responses, since this isn't intended to be a survey. These questions are just supposed to be thought-provoking. Have you ever seen a network TV `mature' program (i.e. nighttime soap, wet-tshirt cop show, daytime soap, etc.) where a man and woman about to have intercourse were seen to use a birth control device? How about a movie? How about one where lovers mentioned birth control? (For women) Did you use birth control the first times you had intercourse? How often do you not use it now? (For men) How often have you confirmed before having intercourse with a woman that some kind of birth control was being used (either by asking the woman or by using a condom)? I guess what I'm trying to say is that while it's supposed to be mature and responsible to use birth control, for some reason we seem to be conditioned not to in many cases.
