No come to think of it, I don't recall any attempted use of birth control in any film except "Looking for Mr. Goodbar" in which the man was ridiculed for attempting to use a condom, and "Summer of '42" in which there was a funny scene trying to buy condoms. I can recall no mention of the pill, IUD, diaphram, sponge, or even cyclic infertility or vasectomy in any film. There were some scenes in which they wanted pregnancy as a result. Does this count as birth control? As for me, the only time that I didn't make sure that reasonable precaution was being taken was when I was involved with a (seven years) older woman, whom I assumed knew what she was doing. (as it turned out, she did). 2.) forty-two.
