Message-ID: <1623@ittvax.UUCP> Date: Thu, 14-Feb-85 09:41:40 EST Article-I.D.: ittvax.1623 Posted: Thu Feb 14 09:41:40 1985 Date-Received: Fri, 15-Feb-85 09:49:15 EST References: <801@sdcsla.UUCP> Organization: ITT-ATC, Stratford Ct. Lines: 19 The Sunday New York Times featured an article about Jack Tramiel (formerly of Commodore) and Atari. It was mostly about the new mackintosh-like machine that Atari is supposedly releasing. But there were 2 paragraphs deep within the article that state that Atari is going to release a consumer-oriented Unix machine based on the National Semiconductor 32-bit chip for under $1000. Is this real? Some of the other prices quoted in the article sound quite unrealistic (10Megabyte hard-disk drive for the Jackintosh for $400). -- H.
