I recently wrote to Proton asking their plans on an upgrade for owners
of their 600T tuner now that the Zenith/DBX system has been approved
for stereo TV broadcasting.  Here is their reply.  Good news!

"Proton will offer a kit to modify existing 600T tuners for MPX
(Zenith/DBX Stereo).  This kit also offers two additional audio
inputs.

"The necessary hardware and instructions should be available at your
local authorized Proton Dealer and Service Center by mid March.
Approximate cost for this modification will be about 50 dollars.

"Proton will also introduce a new multichannel television stereo
decoder, model 690, will will be available through our Dealers
near the end of March."
