Lines: 19 I have always put a lot of faith in Consumer Reports, until last night. On the suggestion that Scotch VHS normal grade tape is one of the best tapes available, I went out and bought one. After recording on SLP speed, I found the Scotch tape to have the worst dropout problem I have ever seen... even when compared to cheap generic brands ( you know, the kinds that sell for about $4 without a sale!). Was I just unlucky enough to get a hold of a bad tape or is this a chronic problem with Scotch brand. BTW, my favorite tape for SLP is HG TDK. JEFF "If I only had a small thermonuclear device..."
