Supposedly they have a denser oxide formulation, which helps the S/N ratio. According to the hype on the wrapper, they also have better high-freq response? I recently bought 20 at $2/ea (w/ the $.50/ea refund from Maxell), and have been quite happy with them so far. But then I've only recorded about 4 of 'em. Gary Fritz ihnp4!hpfcla!fritz
