I would like to say that I now believe that the information given to me
about Renault and AMC is false. AFter checking several reliable sources I
am confident that AMC has no intention of stopping its manufacturing of
Renaults, and that the rumor was started by misinterpretation of a news
item about AMCs decision to not import a larger Renault, the Alpine, in '86
The Alpine is manufactured in Europe. I have every intention of picking up my
1985 Alliance by the end of this week. I apologize for any confusion this
might cause. Next time I'll do my homework before I raise the issue on the
net.
