   Does anybody know how the law is applied in states which prohibit radar
detectors (Virginia is one) with regards to permanently installed (under-the-
hood) units?  It's certainly not very practical to remove the unit from the
car when crossing into such a state, yet I doubt it is sufficient to simply
turn it off.
