Someone I know rents an apartment on the third floor of a private home.
There is no fire escape, and he is worried about being trapped in case
of a fire.  I remember seeing in mail order catalogs (e.g. Walter
Drake, Spencer Gifts, etc.) a rope ladder that is supported from
the window sill.  Unfortunately, I have not received any of these
catalogs for a while.  If anybody knows where to purchase one
of the above let me know, even if not by mail order.  I have seen
one made by Rival that is only 15 ft long. Obviously, this will not
do the trick. Thanx in advance
