I remember seeing a tv show (60 minutes, I think) that said that 
cottonseed oil was not classified as a food by the FDA and so it
doesn't have to pass as rigid standards.  

I see cottonseed oil in almost all processed food and now my grocer
is carrying it.  I understand why its being used the stuff is real
cheap.  But, is it safe???  

It has been a while since that showed aired, maybe the rulings have 
changed.  Does anyone know??
