What is it with you miserable children? I had never posted an article before last week, and had never abused the system intentionally. Once you find out that you've erroneously posted something you can't UNPOST it, so what was I to do? The article was two lines long, so it wasn't as though I intended to wear everyone down with some sob story about my personal life (like some of the babies on this system do); I merely posted to the wrong category! A moment later it was though I'd begun WW3, with my terminal hurling firebombs at me from everywhere! If people are to be encouraged to make use of the net you cannot blast newcomers. Personally, I was tempted to send a monstrous pile of useless mail to each person who flamed me, if they didn't include some constructive advice along with their sarcasm. Some of these brats got TOO personal. I do have the nerve to post this in net.general, but it really would be inappropriate.
