Roger> And this is Gene Siskel of the Chicago Something Else. G> Today we'll be reviewing the latest in a series from pbear!peterb that has been appearing in net.flames all across the nation. R> Yes, Gene, it looks like this latest lives up to what we've grown to expect from peterb. And so soon after net.singles. But that was an old posting, let's look at some clips from his current posting: Ken, nobody likes a loudmouth. Especially one that doesn't realize quitting is the best course of action. Ken, give it up, the net will offer you grattitude for coming to your senses. I love to watch people who break many if not all of the rules of the net and then get upset when somebody speaks out against it. All I can think of is a spoiled brat that gets real upset and threatens to "hold thie breath till they turn blue" when someone criticizes them. If you wanted to be remembered, you sure succeeded; people will remember Ken as "that asshole who runs all over the net like an immature brat". R> Here peterb seems to be breaking the age-old Hollywood rule - if you are a pot, do not call the kettle black. I also don't clearly see the connection with the spoiled brat. But how about some more clips: Actually I don't see why I am trying to talk sense to you Ken. R> That's a question that came to my mind while I was reading this myself. As for my trying to grab attention, try again. I don't jump up and down and flame for the sake of flaming. I will poke up out of the net to make a point. If you want to flame at me, I wish you would use mail. Your ravings are in no way adding to the value of the net. In fact I would say that your antics are doing their best at damaging the integrity of the people who use the net. Since you zapped me in public, here's my reply. R> At this point in the posting, I caught myself wondering "Why did peterb release this posting to the public?" Surely it would have been just as effective if he had mailed this to his intended audience: one Mr. Ken Ardnt. Gene? G> Yes, I agree. peterb then goes on to prove that "Everybody" thinks of Mr. Ardnt as a runaway AI project and then "proves" this by including a clip from one single netnews poster. He doesn't convince me. I'm afraid I have to give this posting a "thumbs down". R> Gene, I agree with you. Ok, so that's two "thumbs down" for the latest from pbear!peterb. For Gene Siskel, I'm Roger Ebert and we'll see you next week on "At the Netnews". -transcribed for Gene and Roger (:-) by Beth Mazur {ihnp4,ima,harpo}!inmet!mazur
