I need help finishing up Transylvania!!!!

I can-t get in side the grate by the gravestone. I've gottn the key from the 
goblin and have gotten the box from the saucer. I open the grate, but it
won't let me enter or 'down'. What stupid thing am i missing??

I also can't get by the door after knocking the stump. I pick the lock,
open the door, but it will not let me go through (North, enter, etc.).

This is driving me batty!!(sorry). Respond by mail, phone, posting, shouting
out the window, carrier pigeon, anything!!!!!
