I don't believe that is the case for a number of reasons. First: The request was for a copy of copyrighted material. Second: If they bought the game, they would have it. If it was lost, the could call Infocom. Infocom would send a new copy of the booklet. That is provided that the software was registered. Third: Cars are not priated, they are stolen.
