The point is that in this country you are innocent until proven guilty. Don't go accusing people of stealing unless you can prove that they have done so. I'm not saying that he couldn't have stolen the software, but I will refuse to make a stand, as some have, until I know the facts. I have had to deal with software companies before, and I know that even with the reputable ones that delays of 4 to 6 weeks are the rule rather than the exception. If I had lost a manual (gee what a cosmic possibility) then I would find it much easier, faster, and less expensive to copy it from a friend than to correspond with the software company.
