Identify: "You manage to identify this as a scroll of identify." 2. Create monster: You are surrounded by a sea of acid blobs. 3. Teleport or Magic Mapping: You are transported a large random number of levels down. In either case it is possible for it to appear as if the scroll functioned almost normally. 4. Remove curse: "You feel like you need some help." I can't remember any of the others right now. Hope this helps -- if you are desperate to keep some real nasty monsters from getting to you, quaff confusion and read create monster; if you are on the maze and want another amulet, quaff confusion and read magic mapping or teleport (nobody has tried this in the maze, however, so I don't know if it would actually put you down further into another maze (it would be cool to go down a bunch of more levels so that then you could get a load of mazes and amulets).
