In my experience, black "electrical tape" is not good for long term installations as it tends to dry out and come loose after several years of heat, humidity etc. I have had much better luck with "ducting tape" which is available from most hardware stores. The only time I have seen it fall apart is when exposed to direct sunlight for a couple of years (as on an antenna). -John S., W3IKG
