  As told by a friend - so can't give reference:

  Sir Winston, who was not a moderate drinker, overdid it at one
party. After leaving it he collapsed into the English mud by the
entrance. A middle aged lady, leaving the party soon afterwards,
remarked: Sir Winston, you are very drunk ! Are you not ashamed ? 
  To which he replied: Madam, I may be very drunk indeed, but then
you must realize that you are profoundly ugly. Moreover, tomorrow
I will be sober ...
