We are trying to get hold of IEEE 802.3 transceiver chips.
The best we can get from our local supplier is the AM7995 for 
for july/august 1985 but without a price, which is a bad sign.
Does anybody know of the availability of these AMD chips,    
or any other? Do samples exist? Are they beta tested? Etc.
