I am looking for a few ideas on a paper I
am required to submit for school.  The topic is an "Unusual application of
mathematics".

The paper is to be under 800 words in length, so the
application should not really be too complicated.  Not
to mention the fact that it will be written on a Grade 13 math level.

Any ideas out there?

Any suggesstions, as well as references would be greatly appreciated.
