I use the memory mainly for setting up the ramdisk (320k). (btw, I don't agree with the review of the ramdisk in the march issue of Mcworld; I have a single disk Mac and the Ramdisk solves 80% of the swapping problem, plus has a number of other advantages - fast Mcwrite prints; fast launch etc) Now to end the good news, I have sometimes the following problem: I bring up the system with a startup disk, which creates the ramdisk (startup application). I execute SWITCH to make my ramdisk the boot-disk, and eject the startup disk. All's fine until now. When I enter an application disk (without system and finder), and execute a program from that disk, its still fine. After quiting the program, I eject the application disk and throw the dimmed icon away. Now sometimes (don't know why and when), when I enter a new disk, it is not recognized by the finder. Nothing happens! All I can do is eject the disk with SHIFT-CMD-1 and reboot the system since it seems to be non-repairable. Has anybode seen this problem? Does anybode know the reason? Does somebody know how to solve it? (btw, I use the IW-15, and a number of new DA's: Mousomtr,MiniFndr,Idle,Extras,KeyCaps,HexCalc,Glass) Thanks for any help! Jaap. -- Jaap Bood IH-3058 2C-434
